2007 Barkada Reunion: Did it Beat 2006?

Like what we used to do yearly, we set our get together for 2007 and was held December 29 at Arvic's house again in Guguinto, Bulacan. Everyone brought their own food as share for this particular event. My cousin Wilma (the only rose among the thorns) cooked adobong leeg ng manok. Arvic (the first man from the left standing at the back) prepared Roasted Chicken which he said has special ingredients. I didn't remember anymore what I brought there..hehehe!
We started around 7pm because we waited for others to arrive. For this year, we were surprised by the presence of Marco (the big man in the middle standing at the back) who has just got home after his long voyage on the sea - in short, a seaman. Actually, we arrived together in the event because I rode with him. He brought us "Chicharon" (as seen in the picture) from his hometown- San Rafael, Bulacan, his pasalubong perhaps!
When everyone was there, we started immediately the session..yes the drinking session..
and of course we drunk the all time favorite, red horse or RH in short. We also rented videoke for us to sing while drinking. As you can see in the picture (left side), Sonny Boy (man in blue shirt) can't control anymore himself singing his favorite song for his honey..hehehe! We really enjoyed the occasion- talking about different things and reminiscing the past events during college days. Some even told their future plans including marriage.

We ended up at around 2 am because everyone feel tired and exhausted..heheh! Some can't take anymore to drink.. Maybe a signal to really end it up. We slept at Arvic's house that night and went home the following morning. This year's reunion has lot of memories to treasure, no need to mention here the funny things happened that night, because nakakahiya to the readers. Guys, do you think this year's reunion beat up last year?

2004-2006 College Reunion: Memories To Treasure

Yearly, my college friends and I used to set reunion or get together. Usually, it happens on the last week of December or before the year end. The first time we had this yearly get together was in 2004, a year after we left the portals of our alma mater, Centro Escolar University. We seldom see each other or not all so its nice to see each other faces just even once a year to keep our friendship and bonding alive.
In 2005, the reunion was done at Arvic's house in Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan; at Michael's residence (Sabang, Baliuag, Bulacan) in 2006 (see picture below)
We were surprised by the presence of our long lost friend Romel (wearing dark brown printed shirt) who has just arrived from Dubai. He actually brought us Red Label, maybe it's his pasalubong for us. We ate and drunk together, sung with videoke and told each other personal interesting stories. We really did enjoy each company's presence that night even if I had recently just recovered from my trangkaso.

A Friendly Date?

It was December 13, 2008, when I met the girl who has been my text mate for the past 2 weeks. I already seen her in Friendster, so physically I have an idea how she looks like, but to see her personally makes me feel nervous.
Actually, I didn't ask her to go out with me, it was just an agreement for our "Pustahan" - whoever win the match between Manny Pacquiao and Dela Hoya will treat the winner out..(which I suggested to her); and luckily, I won.
We agreed to eat out at Paborito Ihaw Ihaw located in Plaridel, Bulacan. I waited for her outside their office, around 5 in the afternoon. In fact, her working place is just near our house, a tricycle ride will do. While on the ride, I texted her, "Papunta na ko dyan" but she did not reply.
After 5 minutes, I reached her office and waited outside the company's gate.I texted her again, "Dito na ko sa labas" and at last she replied, "Tuloy?". I said, "Oo nman, ayaw mo na ba?" and "Ok", she answered.
It was around 5:15 pm when I saw her coming out of the gate. She was wearing dark green tops and skinny maong jeans. Since I already saw her pix on friendster, I didn't find it hard to recognize her. I then approached her and said, "Saan ba tayo sasakay?", where in fact tricycles are just by our side..huuuh I don't know what to say coz I am too nervous.
While we're on the ride, I talked to her, asked some info about herself and her work. Little by little I feel comfortable until we reach Pulilan Public Market. From there, we rode again but by this time in a jeepney to go to Paborito. But before we ride, she was looking around as if waiting for someone but afterwards we then ride on the jeep. Hmmm..I don't know who is she waiting for..hehehe.. Again, while on the ride, we talked some things regarding us, our work and hers, her family, what she always do and a lot more. I also told her it was my first time to eat in that place so I am quite curious.
It was around 6pm when we arrived. We immediately ordered as we entered. She said what I want and I said, "Heto chicken" but she refused and said, "Puro na lang chicken" so we changed and ordered "Isaw-isaw". She told me street foods are her favorites..heheh!
While eating, we continued talking about our work and hers, what I usually do and hers and other getting to know each other talks. I feel at ease now talking with her unlike the past minutes. But I was surprised when she dropped the "isaw-isaw" she was eating..hehe! She told me ganun lang sya kumain, very messy and I said it's ok. In fact, natuwa pa nga ako sa kanya because she is true of herself.
After eating, I sent video of Moymoy Palaboy to her cellphone because she said she haven't yet watch it. I saw a smile on her face while watching the video clip.
At around 7 pm she asked me to go. We left Paborito and rode back to Plaridel. Again, while on the ride, we talked again each personal stories. She told me as a nurse she had trained in different hospitals but the hardest was in the mental institution. I attentively listened to her other interesting stories until we reach Plaridel.
While waiting for jeepney going to Baliuag, I asked her if pede ko sya ihatid but she refused so I did not insist anymore. Afterwards, two street children came to us and begged for some money. One child said to her, "Ate ang ganda mo, boyfriend mo po?". She uttered nothing. I felt ashame to her because napagkamalan pa kong bf..heheh!
After a few minutes, a jeep going Baliuag High way came and we rode. When we reached Pulilan, I told her, "Pano bababa na ko, ingat!" and she said ok. I rode off the jeep and left her in the jeep. But if she let me na ihatid sya, I am willing to do but I think it's her decision so I should respect that.

High School Life: Isang Pagbabalik Tanaw

"High school na ako," ito ang una kong nasabi pagkagising pa lang..First school day kasi noon sa bago kong paaralan- ang St. Dominic Academy.Maaga akong nagising..syempre excited! Bago ang damit, bag, at mga notebooks.
“Please bring water plant this afternoon”.
Who is the father of History?” Pero nag-enjoy naman ako sa kanya kahit paano lalo na nung my activity tayong country hunting sa world map..Remember nyo pa rin ba un?..Pero Ma’am Marcelino's teaching strategy helped me a lot not only in History but with my self-improvement as well.
